Audience: This session is specifically for managers of Pasifika organisations.

Description: Last year our discussions with Pasifika leaders initiated taking an embedded literacy and numeracy (ELN) whole organisation approach as a key strategy for making a difference for Pasifika learners. This year we would like to further our work with Pasifika managers in a collaborative strengths-based way to build on last year’s progress and to inform our way forward. An ELN whole organisation approach is recognised as an effective good practice model.  It is aligned with NZQA’s EER (External Evaluation review) processes and the Tertiary Education Commission’s ELN Practices Table. This session explores what the ELN whole organisation approach is and what value it can bring to your organisation. We are interested in hearing your ideas on how together we can maximise our work to benefit your organisation and your learners in addressing literacy and numeracy in 2014. We anticipate that your contribution will help inform our Pasifika work.
