To change square metres per hour to hectares per hour, we know that every 10 000 m2 covered is 1 hectare.
To find how many hectares are in the area covered by the boom, we have to work out how many lots of 10 000 there are in square metres we calculated. So m2 per hour ÷ 10 000 gives hectares per hour.
