2. Working in contexts
|
We believe that adults are happy to work in contexts that are unfamiliar and not immediately applicable to them if the contexts are interesting. Sometimes working in an unfamiliar context means adults do not carry forward the “baggage” of attitudes and wonky ideas they may have developed in familiar contexts.
Cookery may not be your thing or your learner’s thing for that matter. Here are some other examples of relations from other contexts that allow for deriving formulae using the same approach as above for temperature.
Think of formulae you use in your own courses that learners could build up with some guided thinking.
