At the beginning of this unit two options for teaching formulae were presented.
Option 1
If you choose option 1 for teaching this formula, then your job will be to teach your learners which buttons to push on the calculator and in what order.
You can then hardly blame them if they make a mistake and get a ridiculous answer but don’t recognise it as ridiculous.
How can they spot an error if they don’t really know what they are trying to accomplish with the formula?
