As you have gone through this professional learning course your learners will have developed a portfolio of at least four pieces of their own texts. You will have used these texts to teach specfic things to strengthen their writing.

  • Ask them to write one more text, ‘What I know about writing’.
  • You are asking them to reflect on what they now know about how they can improve their writing. This is sometimes referred to as developing metacognitive strategies.
  • Set up your peer review groups again.
  • Publish their texts about writing.
