  • Ensure that you and your learners read and write a wide variety of texts. In this way, you can support learners to see texts are used and created to meet different purposes in different contexts.
  • It is also important in terms of meeting the needs of learners with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds . It helps them to see that their texts – their literacy practices- are valued.
