1. Section A: Seeing ourselves as writers

This section focuses on helping learners to develop an awareness of themselves as writers. It looks at ways you can work with learners to:
- identify and understand how much writing they do in their everyday lives
- explore what motivates them to write, and to work on improving their writing
- make connections between reading and writing in ways that help to strengthen their writing
As you work through the section, think about how you see yourself as a writer, and how you model this awareness for your learners.
