  • It’s always a good idea to share an example of quality writing with your learners so they get a better idea about what they’re aiming for from the outset. Look at the text together and identify:
    • the overall structure and organisation of ideas
    • different sentence structures - simple, compound and complex
    • language choices the writer has made
    • text cohesion
    • different spelling patterns
    • the way punctuation has been used to support meaning
