  • Shared writing is an effective approach for introducing the structure, processes and strategies that learners need to use to become more efficient and effective in their own writing. It provides an opportunity for you to:
    • explicitly teach processes and strategies by showing learners exactly how to write in response to a task
    • model the sort of writing required
    • specifically address the identified focus for learning across the group as you compose a text together
  • Let’s look more closely at what happens in shared writing
