  • It’s important to involve your learners as much as you can. A shared approach to writing requires educators to be quite deliberate in their teaching and to share what they are doing, and why, with their learners.
  • A shared approach involves creating texts together: – exploring quality models, developing criteria for texts that meet their purpose, and modelling how to use these criteria as you compose a text together.
