The marking guide consists of 2 equally important parts: the marking criteria and the samples of learner work (exemplars) that have been scored with commentaries that explain this scoring. To mark consistently you, the educator, will need to use both parts.

This section explains how to use these parts.

Criteria are described showing their links to the Learning Progressions. Then how to use the exemplars and their commentaries is explained

But firstly let’s look at the cover page of the marking guide (page 10).
