Now that you’ve read through all of the tasks, go back to the summary of assessments and select the assessment tasks that you think are most suitable for your learners.

You will need to consider:

  • whether the same assessment could be used for the whole class, or will you select different tasks for groups or individuals?
  • Is the (range of) level(s) indicated about right for your learners?
  • Will the tasks interest your learners?
  • Will they be motivated to write?
  • Do the tasks match the kinds of writing that your learners need to able to do?
