The aim of this project was to create a ‘pick up and ready to use’ numeracy resource for tutors. This resource is paper based and has an computer disk application. A number of DATS or teaching activities for scaffolding students toward mastering course demands, contextualising the numeracy demands with Waiariki values through the use of whakatauaki.

Carolyn Bourke
Carolyn has a passion for teaching and learning, developed from many years experience working with learners and teachers. This has led to her Embedding Literacy and Numeracy position with the Foundation Learning Team at Waiariki Institute of Technology. Carolyn is now working in her third year at Waiariki, team teaching and mentoring Level 1-4 tutors. Carolyn's work in other educational areas has been in primary schools and English language schools.
