The webinar was targeted for those with the role of organisation administrator of the Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool, or for those who are providing technical support in the area of uploading student and educator demographics.

The webinar provided guidance to those involved with uploading learner and educator information into the Assessment Tool. It explored the advantages of using the upload facility along with the practical aspect of maintaining a clean dataset of information throughout the year.

There was a demonstration of how to create a successful learner upload file from a basic spreadsheet. The additional features of adding groups and educators was also covered. Key areas of possible errors were addressed along with the opportunity to ask questions.

Some advanced features of Excel were demonstrated, including date and ethnicity conversions, splitting name cells, converting to number format, basic formulas for lookups and bulk changes.

Graeme Cosslett

Graeme works as the Manager of IT and Assessment Services for the New Zealand Council for Educational Research. He has been a part of the project management team of the Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool from the very beginning of this project and has a deep understanding of the technical functionality of this tool. Graeme has extensive experience in the use of the upload formats and data exchange between a variety of assessment tools and SMS vendors.
